This next one was my attempt at Macro Photography. I just got some extension tubes for my wife and I wanted to give them a try. I took this with my 50mm 1.8D with some extension tubes. Not bad for my first time with it. Also it was WINDY as all get out as well.

Crystal Bridges Nature Trail
Got out this weekend to take some pictures along the nature trail at the Crystal Bridges art museum in Bentonville, AR. There was not a whole ton of plant life abloom, but there were a bunch of these flowers along the trail near the first parking lot. These are just some of my favorite pics from that trail.

Black and White Single Light Source
I had a job set up for today that was going to call for some lighting. I got a new softbox in preparation for this job but sadly the model got sick. :( But I wasn't going to let a little thing like a lack of a subject get in the way of trying out my new light set up. So I set up my camera on a tripod and got in front of the camera.
This is a single main light support with a little fill light from my on camera. I am happy with the results. Only about 5 minutes of shots, and another 30 seconds for each picture to add some final touches.

I call this one "Hold on"

Gunna see if I can't get a model this week to work this out some more with me behind the camera.

John & Evelyn
They were a lot of fun to take pictures of. We went to a really cool loft in Downtown Jonesboro, and we also went to a couple places downtown. All in all a great time.

I really like this one! I think it tells a cute story.

Love the eyes!!

There is more to see! Just click on one of the images and it will take you to the flikr site for them.

Engagement Photos - Teaser photo
I shoot engagement photos for John & Evelyn earlier this month. Almost done with all of the edits. Got some great shots at some really cool locations in downtown Jonesboro. Here is one of my favorites.

I will post a bunch more when I get them finished up.

Family Visit
Went home to Jonesboro this last week to visit my brother before he head off on a 2 year mission. It was a fun weekend and I wish I could have more of them.

With the Terrells there is always a settlers game going on somewhere.

My brothers and I went to a track meet to watch some friends of theirs. It was fun, but I learned that indoor track sucks to shoot with the gear I have.

The guy in front ran that race (the 1 mile) in 4:11. Dang!
On Sunday was a birthday party for my niece.

Then it was time for some fun on the Trampoline.

This was her first time on a trampoline. She was so cute, but she did't have a clue how to do it.

Go Daddy Bowl Game Trip
I went down to Mobile, AL this year to watch ASU play in the Go Daddy bowl. Sadly, I didn't bring my camera to the game with me as I didn't want to watch it. I am glad I did that, but I should have had a point and shoot. Oh well, next time.
I did however take plenty of pictures from the trip. (over 600 of them in fact) This is just a few of some of my favorites.

Here is where we stayed right on the beach. Nice place and dirt cheap that time of year

On the way I saw a GREAT sunset, which I of course had to stop to shoot.

We got up early the next morning to catch an ocean sunrise. Now I am NOT a morning person but this was worth getting up for.

I also snapped this great picture of my brother and his wife walking the beach.

Later that day we all played on the beach. Not so much in the water as it was like -1,000 degrees. Or at least it felt that way.

Pretty much sums up how cady likes to play on the beach.

Great Trip. Short, but fun.
